40 Hadiths Nawawy

Welcome back to our series of articles about the 40Hadiths of calling for Allah, and in this article we will talk about two new Hadiths from these 40Hadiths. We chose to talk about 40Hadiths of calling for Allah to show the importance and the great matter of the Handith in calling for our Islamic religion and showing the glory of the Islam religion as well.

All the Hadiths are interpreted and translated by their meanings.**

14#On the authority of Aisha –may God be pleased with her- she said: the sun was eclipsed during the era of the Messenger of God –peace and blessings be upon him- and the Messenger of God –peace and blessings be upon him- prayed as an imam with the people, so he rose up and prolonged standing, then he bowed and prolonged the bowing, then he rose up and prolonged the standing but shorter than the first standing, then he bowed and he prolonged bowing, but shorter than the first bowing, then he prostrated and prolonged prostrating, then he did in the second Rakaa as he did in the first one, then he left and the sun was revealed, then he preached to the people, he thanked God and praise him, then he said: (The sun and the moon are two signs of God, they never eclipse for the death of anyone or for his life, then if you see that, supplicate God and glorify Him, and pray and pay charity).   **This Hadith reminds people of the greatness of God Almighty and His ability by reminding them of the cosmic phenomena like the eclipse of the sun, and investing this in directing people to pray, supplicate, and give charity. 15# When some people of the Ansar ( the people of Medina) blamed Prophet Muhammad –peace and blessings be upon him- for giving people from Qurish a lot of the money that Muslims had gained from the Battle of Hawazin, so the Messenger of Allah met them and said to them: ( I give men who are modern in disbelief (newly entered in Islam), would you satisfied that people go with money, and you return to your homes by the Messenger of God –peace and blessings be upon him- I swear by God, what you return with, is better than what they return with) . They said: (Yes, O Messenger of God, we are satisfied). Then he said: (You will see a strong impact after me, be patient until you meet God and His Messenger, for I am on the basin).

**In this Hadith the Messenger (p.b.u.h) was anxious to let his companions and believers know what was meant by his acts and what was his desired goals.

He convinced them that they will be rewarded on the day of Resurrection with a reward that is much more valuable than any money in the life, which is meeting God and His Messenger on the basin. The basin is the basin of the Prophet Muhammad –peace and blessings be upon him- and it is a great pool of water that the believers will stand on it and meet the Prophet who will give them water to drink from his hands on the day of Resurrection.
