Ijaza in Quran is providing a chain of authorized transmitters going back to the original author. Importance of Ijaza in Quran:

The ijaza is one of the backbones of traditional Islamic knowledge, used in virtually every field including Quran, Hadith, and Islamic history, to verify that the student has received the knowledge from an instructor and is, in turn, qualified to transmit that knowledge to others. In Hadith, The Matn, which is the text passed from teacher to student through oral transmission of the scholars, is preceded by the Sanad where that transmission is being recorded, such that for every text( Matn) we have an established, unbroken, route by which we received it. So the meticulous application of the Sanad by our scholars brings a powerful strength to our Islamic science not found in any other religion. The same is in Quran, where the Sanad goes back to the prophet Muhammad- peace be upon him- and the Matn is the Quran itself, when the student taught the Quran, and becomes proficient in his tajweed and stable in his memorization and be able to transmit the Quran, the Sheikh will authorize him by giving him the Ijaza in Quran. And then, the student becomes attached to the continues- unbroken chain of Quran transmission.

Conditions for Ijaza in Quran:

There are two conditions for the permissibility or Ijaza in Quran, these conditions are derived from the science of the Hadith narration, as mentioned. And because the holy Quran is the highest that is narrated or transmitted, so it has the highest conditions in the transmission process. So, the first condition to get Ijaza in Quran is Justice, which means that it is important to the bearer of the holy Quran to be worthy to this honor, as it isn’t suitable for the holy Quran to give a lewd or a sinner Ijaza in Quran. So, the condition of the student is very important. The second condition for getting Ijaza in Quran is controlling, which is two harms, first one is controlling knowledge and understanding, meaning that the student be aware of the narration or reading that narrates about his sheikh in principle and branches, so that he knows its aspects and rulings and how to stand on its words, and sets up the places of suspension and starting in general. Second one is controlling of memorization and performance, which means that the student must memorize very well without stuttering.
