Every Muslim should learn Suruh Al-Fatiha, to read it in each single rak’ah he performs, when you start to learn Suruh Al-Fatiha, you will find a set of lessons in it. In this article, we’re going to learn Suruh Al-Fatiha in details. Al- Fatiha is the first Suruh in the arrangement of Suruhs in the book of Quran, and the fifth one in order of descending. Suruh Al-Fatiha is a dialogue! As we mentioned, Suruh Al-Fatiha must be read in each sigle raka’a in the Muslim’s prayer, as prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), said : (No prayer for those who didn’t recite the opening of the book) And he (p.b.u.h) also said: (Each prayer that the opening of the book is not being read in, is a pre-maturity). When you start to learn Suruh Al-Fatiha, you will find that it is a dialogue between the servant and Allah the Almighty, as Allah the Almighty said in Hadith Qudsi: (The prayer was divided between me and my servant, and I respond to what my servant asks. So, if the servant says: (praise be to Allah, the lord of the worlds) Allah says: (My servant praise me). And if he says: (Al-Rahman, the most merciful), God Almighty says: (My servant pays tribute to me). And if he says: (The owner of the day of Judgment), Allah says: (My servant glorified me). And if he says: (We worship you, and we seek for your help), Allah says: ( This is between me and my servant). And if he says: (Guide us to the straight path, the path of people who you’ve blessed them, and you are not angry with them and they are not being lost), He says: (This is for my servant, and I respond to all my servant asks).

The virtue of Surah Al-Fatiha:

Aside of reading Suruh Al-Fatiha during the prayer, we have to learn Suruh Al-Fatiha because it has many virtues, as being the best and the greatest suruh in the holy Quran, as the prophet Muhammad-peace and blessings be upon him- said: (I will teach you a Suruh that is the greatest Suruh in the Quran), and he said: (“Praise be to God, the lord of the worlds”, is the ” Seven Mathani” and it is the great Quran that was given to me), the word “seven” refers to the number of its verses, and the word “Mathani” may mean that Muslims praise for Allah, or may mean that Muslims repeat it in each rak’aa. Another virtue of Suruh Al-Fatiha, is that it is not only the greatest Suruh in the holy Quran, it is also the greatest Suruh has been ever descended in all the heavenly books, as prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him- said about Suruh Al-Fatiha: ( I swear by who has my soul in his hands, that there is nothing in the Torah, neither in the Bible, nor in the Zabur or in the Quran, quite like it). Prophet Muhammad-peace and blessings be upon him- said that Suruh Al-Fatiha is the mother of the book because it includes the meanings of the Quran in general with regard to monotheism. And it is also a Healing in which there is a cure for people and we should learn Suruh Al-Fatiha to say Roqia “incantation” using it. Suruh Al-Fatiha also includes the best supplications, as we ask Allah the Almighty to help us finding the right path of those people that he bless them, furthermore, it includes the etiquette of supplication; as praise, glorification, and monotheism before supplication.
