Surat Al-Paqara has uncountable virtues, and one of its virtues is that it is a reason for Allah to respond to the supplications, as the Messenger (p.b.u.h) said: (Allah never disappoints one who gets up at the dead of the night and reads Surat Al-Paqara and Al-Imran) The frequent reading of Surat Al-Paqara is important as it is the only Surah that was reported from the Messenger –peace and blessings be upon him- in the virtue of reading it.

Explanation and interpretation of verse 7 of Surat Al-Paqara:

7#{God had sealed their hearts, and their hear and there is a blurring on their eyesights and they will have great torment}. In this verse Allah Almighty gave reasons for His judgment on the disbelievers in the previous verse 6# in which Allah Almighty said that they would never believe in Allah even if the Prophet warned them or he did not. And these reasons are that; {God had sealed their hearts}: the word “sealed” means to close a thing so that nothing can go in or out of it, and Allah had sealed their hearts as He doesn’t need those who dispense with Him. when Allah Almighty knows that there is faith in the heart, He helps it for more believing. And if Allah Almighty knows that there is disbelief in the heart, He helps it for more disbelieving, this means that they disbelieved so Allah sealed their hearts as He doesn’t need them. {and their hear}: hearing is one of the means of cognition that people can know or understand anything through it. {a blurring on their eyesights}: a blurring is the veil that covers the thing from all its sides. **Allah Almighty, in this verse mentioned the “eyesights” in the plural, and the “hear” in the singular, Why???? As Quran is not a human speech, it is the speech of Allah Almighty, if you think about your eyes, you will find that you can close your eyes with your eyelids, so you won’t see anything, but your ears haven’t a thing that you can close them with. And if group of people are exposed to a bright light, some of them can close their eyes so that, they will not see the light, and others can look at the light. But if they exposed to a loud sound, they all will hear it , and no one can close his ears so that he doesn’t hear the sound completely. So the hear is not divided, they all will hear as if it is only one hear “singular” , but the eyesights is divided, as some of them can see, and some of them can choose not to see, so there are many eyesights” plural”. Glory to God!!! **Why “hear” came before “eyesights”? As Allah Almighty who creates the human and knows every thing about his creation, and the science proved also that the newborn baby can hear even before being born, but his eyes need few days after being born to start to see. That’s why hear came before eyesight in the Holy Quran. Glory to God!!! {and they will have great torment}: this means the torment in the fire of Hell, for the disbelievers.
