In this article we will continue our talk about interpretation and explanation of Surat Al-Paqara, and we will talk about the sixth verse of Surat Al-Paqara, and go through one aspect of the great meanings of Surat Al-Paqara.
The virtue of reciting Surat Al-Paqara:
Again, we will go through the countless virtues of Surat Al-Paqara which we will continue talking about them as long as we go through the explanation of the verses of Surat Al-Paqara. One of the great virtues of Surat Al-Paqara is that Angles come down to listen to it, like the miracle that happened to Usayd Ibn Hudayr who is a companion of Prophet Muhammad –peace and blessings be upon him- “That while he was reciting Surat Al-Paqara at night, and his horse was tied beside him, the horse was suddenly startled and troubled. When he stopped reciting, the horse became quiet, and when he started again, the horse was startled again. Then he stopped reciting and the horse became quiet too. He started reciting again and the horse was startled and troubled once again. And Usayd said narrating this incident, “I was afraid lest it chould trample (my son) Yahya who was near it (the horse) and I raised my head and I saw something like a canopy over my head with what seemed to be lamps in it, rising up in the sky till it disappeared”. The next morning Usayd informed the Prophet of this incident. The Prophet –peace and blessings be upon him- said: “Do you know what that was?” Ibn Hudyr replied: No. The prophet (p.b.u.h) said: ‘Those were Angles who came near to you for your voice and if you had kept on reciting till dawn, it would have remained there till morning when people would have seen it as it would not have disappeared”.Explanation and interpretation of verse #6 of Surat Al-Paqara:
6#{For those who disbelieve, they are disbelievers, if you warn them, or if you do not warn them, they do not believe} In this verse of Surat Al-Paqara, Allah the Almighty talked about the disbelievers, after He talked in the previous verse #5 about the believers, as this is the approach of the holy Quran, it always compares between believers and disbelievers. {Those who disbelieve}: Allah the Almighty means those who the Messenger of Allah would like them to believe in Allah but Allah –the Almighty- wanted to tell him that they will not believe. Those people was the bearers of sovereignty of the disbelievers like Abu Lahab, Abu Jahl, Abu Sufian……etc.. {warn them}: warming some one means to let him know a fearful thing that will happen. And this warning should happen enough time before this fearful thing happens which is the hell on the day of resurrection. {or if you do not warn them} it means that it is the same result, if you warn them or you do not. {They don’t believe}:Allah –the Almighty- ensured to His Prophet that “those people that you want them to believe in Allah will not believe”. This means that Allah- the Almighty- knew what will happen, but He did not made them not to believe, because they -as all humankind- are free to choose to believe or not , and that’s why they are being judged. **And this means that Allah –the Almighty- knew that they will not believe, and told his Prophet in this verse that they will not believe, and the disbelievers heard this verse. Were not they able to say that they believed in Allah, even as a lie?! To put Muhammad in an awkward position. But it did not happen!!! Is not this a clear evidence of the truth of the Quran!!! Glory to God, even the disbelievers couldn’t refute His Quran. This shortcode LP Profile only use on the page Profile
