40 Hadiths Nawawy (part 3) Islamic

In this article we will continue our talking about the 40 Hadiths about calling for Allah. But lets talk first about the number 40, and why “40 Hadiths” is a famous issue? It returns to an Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (P.b.u.h) which is: {Whoever preserves forty Hadiths for my Ummah (followers, or nation), will be recorded as a Faqih (jurist)}. Unless it is a WEAK Hadith, we can take the advantage of it by being interested in studying many Hadiths and understand them and also searching about their snad (bond).

Continue the 40 Hadiths about calling for Allah:

9#On the authority of Jaber Ibn Abdullah, that Moadh Ibn Jabal -may God be pleased with him- was praying with the Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- then he went to his people and pray as imam with them the prayer, and he read Al-Paqara. He said: then a man reduced and pray a lighten prayer, and this was informed to Moadh, who said: this man is hypocrite, and this was informed to this man, who went to the Prophet-peace and blessings be upon him- and said: Oh Messenger of Allah, we are people working with our hands and irrigating with our pack animals, and Moadh pray with us as imam yesterday, and read Al-Paqara and I reduced the prayer, so he alleged that I am hypocrite. Then the Prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- said: Oh Moadh, are you seditious?, (for three times), Read: (By the sun and its shine), and (Glorify the name of your Lord, the most high). ** In this Hadith, Prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him- taught Moadh Ibn Jabal that if he prays with people as an Imam, not to lengthen the prayer and to take in his consideration that there are -may be- tired people or elderly people praying behind him. Whereas when Moadh read Surat Al-Paqara in the prayer, The Prophet (p.b.u.h), asked him: Are you seditious? Meaning that prolongation in the prayer may make people to be alienated from prayer, and he adviced him to read Surat Al-Shams or Surat Al-Aala as they are short Surahs. 10# On the authority of Sahl bin Saad Al Saadi, he said: …..I saw the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, stood up and exclaimed “God is great”, and people exclaimed after him, while he was on the pulpit, then he kneeled down on it, then he get back down and bowed down at the origin of the pulpit, then he returned until he finished the end of his prayer, then he headed towards the people and said: (Oh people, I made that, so that you emulate me and to learn my prayer). **It is said that a women said to the Prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him-: Oh, Messenger of Allah, could I made something for you to set on it? I have a carpenter, he said: If you want. Then she made the pulpit for him. And that indicates that it is permissible for women to contribute to the success of the work of calling for Allah – the Almighty- by legitimate means.
