Tafseer Surat Al-Paqara 2

Surat Al-Baqara is a special Surah in Quran, as, the longest verse in Quran is located in Surat Al-Baqara, and is called “Ayat Al-Mudaynah” which means the debit verse, and Surat Al-Paqara also contains the greatest verse in Quran, which is “Ayat Al-korsy” which means the throne verse, and we will go through these both verses later during our explanation and interpretation of Surat Al-Baqara. and now lets continue talking about its virtues and explaining the great meanings of its verses.

Virtues of Surat Al-Paqara:

Let’s talk about one of the numerous virtues of Surat Al-Paqara, which is being repelling for demons from homes; as demons when hear Surat Al-Paqara, they run away because it affects them strongly. And prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him- said: (Don’t make your houses like tombs , the devil runs away from a house that Surat Al-Paqara is been read in it) Explanation and interpretation of Surat Al-Paqara:

3#{Those who believe in the unseen and perform the prayers, and they spend from what we have given them:

Who believe: It means who have faith, which is certain and complete believing that is not presented to the mind to discuss it. The unseen: It is the ultimate unseen, which is unknown for you and for every one, not things that is unknown only for you and known by others, and also not things that is predicted using data or calculations. So it is the unseen that is related to Allah the Almighty. Perform the prayer: Which is one of the reflections of faith, faith is invisible, but if it exists, it would be reflected to a tangible performance which could be, prayer. Spend from what we have given them: Which refers to Zakat or charity, Zakat is related to money which is a lifeline. Look to the sentence “from what we given them“, here Allah -the Almighty- reminds the donors that they were being given this money from Allah, not to be conceited and arrogant. “spend” Allah- the Almighty- didn’t specified Zakat in this verse, but He left it opened, to refer to everything the believer spends his money on, so, if he spends his money on himself, his parents, his kids, and Zakat, he will be rewarded for all of that! what a mercy! In this verse, Allah -the Almighty- mentioned these three worships, and the virtues of all worships don’t come out of these three deeds; believing in the hearts (faith) , surrendering behavior(prayer), and financial cooperation (Zakat) which provides the achievement of the social solidarity. Lets stop here for a moment, Why Allah -the Almighty- always mention prayer with Zakat??? Because prayer needs time, and time is needed for work, and work is to earning money, that makes some people may refrain from praying to save time to work and earn money, so prayer is sacrificing time, and Zakat is sacrificing money! .As if Allah the -Almighty- wanted to say that, what we think that it may decreases money, will increase it, only for the believers.
