Rules of Raa Saakinah

Raa is originally a muraqqaq – light letter -when it has kasrah harakah but it can also be pronounced as a muffakham – heavy letter -when it has dammah or fathah.
Examples:
Raa Muraqaqah
Raa Muffakhamah
The cases of raa saakinah ر + letter with harakah 
1- If raa is saakinah and the letter before it has fathah harakah or dammah harakah, raa will be a muffakham letter.
Examples:
2- If raa is saakinah and the letter before it has kasrah harakah, raa will be a Muraqqaq(light) letter.

Raa is muffakham letter in the following cases:
1- Hamzatul wasl is directly before raa saakinah.

2- Raa saakinah is followed by any muffakham letter.

Raa is a muraqqaq letter when Letter before raa( at the end of a word) is yaa’ saakinah.
